@philpalmieri: Anyone in the #orlando area? I’m giving a talk on @angularjs and @NativeScript on the 17th – Live Demo

Happy new year JavaScripters of Orlando! We’re going to kick off 2017 with a brand new topic: writing fully native apps with Angular.

Scheduled Talk

Phil Palmieri will give us an overview of how to use Angular 2 with NativeScript, and then will live code a beer app and integrate it with the BreweryDB API.

This month we will only have one scheduled talk and leave plenty of time for networking as well as spontaneous lightning talks.

Lightning Talks by *YOU*

If you have something cool you’d like to share with the group but don’t feel like putting a talk together, we will open the floor for lightning talks. These are quick, 5-ish minute presentations on anything. Could be a cool library you found, an interesting blog post you read recently or even a new JS framework you heard was good. Slides aren’t even necessary – but you can, if you want 😉

Food & Swag

The good folks at Progress, the company behind the NativeScript project, will be offering dinner. They will also be bringing some swag to give away, so don’t miss out!

Free Parking

The GAI Building Parking Garage is free of charge. After 6PM you can park anywhere. If you get there before then, you can still park as long as it doesn’t say reserved. Code School is on the 6th floor, out of the elevators to the left.
