My categorical variable is altititude. I replace color=”cyl” with “altitude” for the Bokeh plot and set hue as ‘altitude’ for the seaborn plot.

@ng_real_ninja: Color scatter plots in Seaborn/Bokeh – using symbols in categorical data #angularjs #reactjs

I am trying to make a color scatter plot with either the Seaborn or Bokeh libraries either of these pieces of code:

My categorical variable is altititude. I replace color=”cyl” with “altitude” for the Bokeh plot and set hue as ‘altitude’ for the seaborn plot.

My categorical variables includes greater than and hyphen symbols. It seems that if I take away these symbols then the plots work fine. As my 3 categorical values are 0-100m, 100-200m and >200m, are any symbols allowed or is there any way I can use symbols? It would be nice to be able to use the symbols or at least have something similar.
