Introduction to reusable images of business applications with Angular, React and Vue.

  • The same way like components, images can be composed from smaller parts which are responsible for logic, data and views.Images keep an application logic, views and state.
  • An image created in Angular can be run in React, Vue or whatever new shiny framework that would emerge in the next couple of years.Introducing reusable images of web applications would allow us to build powerful and complex applications in an incredible efficient way.
  • And the third image would be for a non trivial business application composed from already created Salesforce and Open Banking images, their views, models and logic. We will create an Open Banking image using an Angular container then load and run it using React and Vue containers.
  • LoopBack is a highly-extensible, open-source Node.js framework that enables you to create dynamic end-to-end REST APIs with little or no coding.ComposerThe most complex part of a container will be a visual drag drop editor for creating views, generating dynamic data structure, mapping models to widgets and for modelling the application…

Introduction to reusable images of business applications with Angular, React and Vue.

I embarked on a journey of learning what it takes to create reusable images for complex banking and business applications. Prototypes of such images will follow.

Components, Images and Containers

With Angular, React and Vue we can now build large-scale applications composed of self-contained and reusable components. But what exactly we mean by “component”. We can pick any part of an application and call that a component. It could be small or large. And at which point it is still a component and not something else?

For the purpose of this story let’s introduce a concept of images. Images are chunks of application logic, possible UI states and its transitions that can be persisted and reused. The same way like components, images can be composed from smaller parts which are responsible for logic, data and views.

Images keep an application logic, views and state. We can persist it but how we are going to retrieve and process it? We need a minimalist web application with an expertise how to fetch and run images. For the purpose of terminology let’s call this minimalist application a container. Containers could appear in two flavours. The dumb one is just a kind of a DVD player where we can load and run our applications. The second and the smart one works like a DVD record player where we can also record our applications. Regardless…
